At MonteVista Homes, we believe a new home should feel welcoming the moment you walk in — a place built with care, shaped with purpose, and designed for the life you’re building.
For more than two decades, we’ve been creating homes across Central and Eastern Oregon that balance thoughtful design, lasting quality, and a deep understanding of how people live today. We’re a local builder with local roots, committed to craftsmanship, community, and the small details that make a house feel like home.
When we make a commitment, we stand behind it. Every MonteVista home is built with a predictable and reliable schedule — a promise shaped by disciplined systems, experienced teams, and trade partners we’ve trusted for years.
We provide weekly construction updates, set clear expectations, and communicate openly at every step so you always know where your home stands.
And we back that with a straightforward commitment:
Your home will be completed within 135 days of starting construction.
This isn’t just a timeline — it’s a reflection of our respect for your plans, your move-in schedule, and the life you’re preparing to begin in your new home.
Because to us, on time isn’t a goal.
It’s a promise.
New construction shouldn’t feel uncertain. At MonteVista Homes, we believe clarity is the foundation of confidence, so we communicate early, often, and proactively throughout your entire journey.
You’ll receive weekly construction updates, always delivered before the weekend, so you never have to wonder where things stand. If timelines shift, you hear it from us immediately — with context, solutions, and honest expectations.
We schedule your walk-through and orientation with care, giving you plenty of time to plan work, childcare, travel, and the details of your move. Everything is timed around your life, not ours.
Through every stage of construction, you’ll know what’s happening, what’s coming next, and exactly what to expect.
Because communication isn’t a courtesy — it’s a promise.
Behind every MonteVista home are hundreds of decisions and thousands of components working together to create a home that’s built to last. We believe in being transparent about how homes are constructed — and in setting expectations that help buyers feel informed, not overwhelmed.
Our homes are built using kiln-dried lumber, chosen for its stability and long-term performance. Materials are staged on-site early to keep your home moving efficiently through each phase — a normal part of the construction process.
As your home settles and acclimates, small adjustments are a natural part of homeownership. Drywall cracks, nail pops, and seasonal shifts are expected — and we stand behind our work with scheduled follow-up care to make these touch-ups easy and supported.
Even small details, like repairing a scratched bathtub during construction, are handled by qualified professionals who restore the surface to a beautiful, durable finish. These details may seem minor, but they matter — because they reflect the care we put into every home.
Quality isn’t just found in the big milestones.
It’s in the quiet details that most people will never see.
And we take those details seriously.
As your home nears completion, we schedule your Homeowner Orientation Tour and move-in date with plenty of notice so you can plan movers, arrange time off, and prepare for your transition with confidence.
During your orientation, your home is fully prepared for a thoughtful, unhurried walkthrough. Instead of a chaotic “blue-tape” process, our team guides you through each room, demonstrating systems, reviewing features, and answering every question — so you feel ready and confident the moment you move in.
If we identify any final items together, we take care of them promptly and professionally, with clear timelines and communication. Our goal is simple: to ensure that your move-in feels organized, predictable, and genuinely exciting.
And when move-in day arrives, your home is ready for you — clean, complete, and waiting for your next chapter to begin.
Because you’re not just getting a house.
You’re coming home.
Your relationship with MonteVista Homes doesn’t end at closing. Our warranty team is here to walk with you through the first year of homeownership, answering questions, addressing concerns, and supporting the natural adjustments that every new home experiences.
We provide:
We believe warranty service should feel personal — not transactional.
When you need us, we’re here.
And when we say we will take care of something, we do.
"We take our customer’s satisfaction very seriously. You, the customer, are the reason we are in business. We know that choosing to buy a quality home by MonteVista is an investment in your future. In considering the purchase of a new home, don’t settle for less…we won’t.”
