MonteVista Homes Launches $5,000 Hometown Heroes Program

New program supports teachers, healthcare professionals, first responders, law enforcement and military households purchasing a new MonteVista Home

BEND, Ore., August 11, 2026 – MonteVista Homes announces the launch of its Hometown Heroes Program, a new homebuying program that provides eligible community professionals with $5,000 toward the purchase of a new MonteVista Home in one of the company’s communities throughout Central and Northeastern Oregon.

The program was created for the people who serve and strengthen local communities every day. Eligible buyers include professionals in education, healthcare, first response and law enforcement, as well as active-duty military members, reservists and veterans.

“We see teachers, nurses, firefighters, law enforcement officers and service members giving their time and energy to the places we all call home,” said Brock Fankhauser, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at MonteVista Homes. “The Hometown Heroes Program is a practical way for us to return some of that support. Our goal is simple, to help more of these households purchase a new home and put down roots in the Central and Northeastern Oregon communities they already serve.”

Qualifying buyers will receive $5,000 through the program, with the flexibility to apply the funds where they can best support their individual home purchase. The Hometown Heroes Program may also be combined with other eligible MonteVista Homes sales and community offers available at the time of purchase, giving buyers the opportunity to increase their overall savings.

“We know homebuyers do not all need help in the same place,” Fankhauser said. “For one household, $5,000 may ease the upfront cost of purchasing a home. For another, it may help create a more manageable monthly payment or provide room to personalize the home. That flexibility is what makes this program meaningful.”

The Hometown Heroes Program is available to eligible K-12 teachers and school administrators, nurses, doctors, therapists and medical support professionals, firefighters, EMS professionals, paramedics and search and rescue personnel, police officers, sheriff’s deputies, corrections officers and state troopers, and active-duty military members, reservists and veterans from all branches of service.

A household may qualify when at least one buyer or household member meets the program requirements. The program provides one $5,000 benefit per qualifying home purchase, regardless of the number of eligible individuals within the household.

The program applies to eligible purchases of new MonteVista Homes, including select move-in-ready homes and homes available to be built within participating MonteVista Homes communities across Central and Northeastern Oregon. Buyers can begin by speaking with a MonteVista Homes Community Sales Consultant and provide documentation confirming their qualifying profession or military service.

The Hometown Heroes Program builds on MonteVista Homes’ long-standing commitment to the Oregon communities where the company builds.

“These professionals invest in our communities every day,” Fankhauser said. “We are proud to help them take an important step toward building equity and making one of our communities home.”
